  • Beading board
  • Nylon
  • Clasps (eye and hook, toggle or screw)

  1. Beaded Necklaces And Bracelets

      Place the beads that you wish to use in your beading board. Place them in the grooves of the board in a pattern that you like, or randomly. Choose beads that have the same size hole in the center to avoid a messy look.

      Cut the nylon cord to the length you will need for your bead layout. For a bracelet, 6 inches is the average length. A necklace length will vary greatly, so measure around your neck, and cut the rope where you want the necklace to hang. Allow about 1/2 inch extra for tying. Attach a clasp to one side by tying it tightly through the eyelet on the clasp.

      Slide your beads over the nylon rope, and check to make sure you like the design. Once you are satisfied, tie the the other end to the other side of the clasp. Your jewelry is ready to wear.
